Indefinite Hiatus

It's been about a year, so I figured I owed you all an update on the status of LoA. Unfortunately, I have to confirm that the comic is on indefinite hiatus.
Honestly, I just burned out. The clusterf*ck that was 2020, plus the pandemic, didn't exactly help things, but I suspect I would have burned out soon even without it. I tend to work best in small bursts, and 5 years of constant work/updates on this project just exhausted my creative resources. I managed a few pieces in 2021 earlier in the year, but overall I just haven't had much desire to paint.
I do still want to finish this story, however, i also don't really want to spend the next 10 years doing nothing but LoA, so I'm not sure how I will approach it when I do get the motivation to keep working on this. The first step will probably be to sit down and actually write/script the rest of the story, so I at least know how much work I'm looking at. I've spent the last 2 years writing a lot of prose, so at least I'm getting some good practice in there.
I will keep you all posted if there are any changes. If you want to keep following my art, the best place is probably my deviantart (https://www.deviantart.com/spaceturtlestudios). I post infrequently, but any new art I do will be there; I've given up fighting the algorithm on sites like Twitter.

2020 was heck, and honestly, 2021 hasn't been much better.
This comic is still amazing, and I am proud to own a physical copy of volume 1. You are an amazing artist, and your happiness has priority.
